NUK First Choice Perfect Start Bottle Set

Code 5560689-B

Colour

A starter set for NUK First Choice, with bottles that have the NUK Anti-colic Air System and a First Choice soother, all in one box.

The bottles give a natural milk flow and reduce the amount of air your baby swallows, for fewer bubbles and tears. A temperature indicator on the back changes from blue to white if the milk is too hot,** and the sealing cap protects the teat and helps prevent leaks.

The First Choice soother has an orthodontic teat with a soft zone that gently fits the palate, an extra-flat shape that leaves room for the tongue, and an extra-thin neck so tiny lips can close almost completely. It's designed to support healthy teeth and jaw development,* and comes with a reusable box for storage and sterilising.

**The temperature indicator is an additional check only. Always test the temperature with a few drops on your wrist before feeding.

NUK Anti-Colic Function

The NUK anti-colic air system ensures less bubbles and tears, with a natural milk flow for peaceful and happy mealtimes.

Temperature control

The NUK temperature control indicator, located on the back of the bottle, changes colour (from blue to white) if the content is too hot**.

For healthy teeth & jaw development*

The NUK soother shape is curved to nestle against the palate, flat and curved inwards to leave room for the tongue and is extra-thin so that lips can close almost completely.

How to use

1. Cleaning before first use

Before first use, disassemble the product and clean all components. Boil in water for approximately 5 minutes to ensure hygiene.

Before each subsequent use, clean carefully with NUK Bottle Cleanser or a mild washing‑up liquid and disinfect as needed. Remove food residues thoroughly, including from hidden surfaces. Soak the product if necessary and rinse thoroughly. After cleaning, allow all components to dry completely; squeeze any residual water out of the teat.

For boiling or steam sterilising, always dismantle bottles into their individual components and leave them open to avoid deformation. For sterilisation, we recommend the NUK Steam Steriliser or NUK Microwave Steam Steriliser. Always follow the steriliser manufacturer’s instructions to prevent material damage.

2. Hygienic microwave sterilisation (pacifier box)

Observe the microwave manufacturer’s instructions. Fill the pacifier box with water up to the marking and insert the pacifier. Place the closed box off‑centre on the turntable and heat only according to the time and power specified on the box. Leave the microwave closed for 5 minutes. Carefully pour away remaining water (caution: risk of scalding).

3. Heating bottles

Never heat up or cool down closed bottles (risk of explosion or material damage). Take extra care when heating in the microwave, as localised overheating may occur. Always stir heated food thoroughly and check the temperature before feeding.

4. Storage

Store products dry, protected from light, and hygienic.

5. Replacement advice

Replace teats and pacifiers after 1–2 months for safety and hygiene reasons, as material strength may decrease even without visible damage. If a bottle shows internal damage, such as scratches, it should be replaced for hygiene reasons.

Product care guidelines

Dishwasher?

Pacifiers, teats and bottles should not be cleaned in a dishwasher. Dishwasher detergents can cause material damage, and cleaning pacifiers in the dishwasher may reduce their durability.

For cleaning, use NUK Bottle Cleanser or a mild washing‑up liquid. Remove food residues thoroughly, including from hidden surfaces. Soak the product if necessary, but do not scratch the inside of the bottle. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Sterilising the Bottle

When sterilising plastic bottles, do not exceed a maximum temperature of 100 °C (see symbol on the bottle). For boiling or steam sterilising, always dismantle the bottle into its individual components and leave it open to avoid deformation. To prevent material damage, always follow the instructions for use of the steriliser.

Instructions & safety

For Your Child’s Safety and Health

WARNING / CAUTION!

Always use this product under adult supervision.

Inspect bottles, feeding teats and pacifiers before each use and pull the teat in all directions. Discard immediately at the first signs of damage or weakness.

Keep all components not in use, including boxes, out of the reach of children.

Never attach cords, ribbons, laces or loose parts of clothing to bottles or pacifiers. Risk of strangulation.

Use only pacifier chains that comply with EN 12586. Never attach other cords or strings to a pacifier.

Never use feeding teats as a soother.

In rare cases, a child may take the entire pacifier into the mouth. Stay calm: the pacifier cannot be swallowed, and ventilation holes in the shield ensure breathing. Remove it gently from the child’s mouth.

Feeding and Preparation Instructions

When preparing infant formula or tea, always follow the food manufacturer’s instructions.

To retain vitamins and nutrients, the temperature should not exceed 60 °C.

Only administer food and drink in the quantity and consistency recommended by the manufacturer.

Always check food temperature before feeding.

From 5 months, gradually transition your baby to a beaker.

Important Notes for Feeding Teats

Before each use, softly squeeze the vent and drinking hole/slit to ensure it is open.

Do not dip teats or pacifiers in medicine or sweet substances.

Continuous and prolonged sucking of fluids can cause tooth decay – this may occur even with non‑sweetened drinks.

Material and Care Information

Do not expose bottles, teats or pacifiers to direct sunlight or heat sources, and do not leave them in disinfectant (“sterilising solution”) longer than recommended, as this may weaken the material.

Certain foods may discolour the material (e.g. carrot juice) or affect odour (e.g. fennel tea); this does not affect safety or suitability for use.

Temperature‑based colour‑changing indicators are sensitive to moist heat and descaling and may fade over time with frequent boiling or steaming.

Standards and Compatibility

NUK baby bottles comply with EN 14350.

NUK pacifiers comply with EN 1400.

NUK accessories are only compatible within their respective product range.
